14 gauge wire is a super fun and thick wire that is perfect for components, clasps, larger jump rings (10mm +), and lightweight bangles and finger rings! This is the thinnest gauge (compared to the thicker 12 and 10 gauges) that we recommend to make larger jewelry pieces with, as you can hammer it to harden enough that it won't collapse easily with wear.
You may not be able to "move" this wire with your fingers alone - so we recommend moving it with tools and a nylon hammer.
Make sure you have the proper cutters to cut this wire, as well as a file to taper and soften the ends.
