Class Details

Currently, Jayne of Bead Crumbs demonstrates every 3rd Sunday a new and super cute brick stitch project that she designs for The Bead Gallery! Because it’s not a class (more of a get together and stitch -in) we welcome you to prepare and *LEARN THE BASICS in our new BRICK STITCH CLASS! Then hang out with us on every 3rd Sunday when she shares a new project with us!!

A brick stitch is an easy beginner bead weaving stitch that has many variations. It is similar to a peyote stitch, but turned sideways. This off-loom technique is a bit stiffer than peyote, due to it’s dense threading that makes it more sturdy and stable. A brick stitch is called such because the off-set rows made by the beads resemble a brick wall!

In our beginners brick stitch class, you’ll make a very simple, single-color sampler to develop your needle and thread skills and understanding. NOTE: It won’t be jewelry-wearable, but you WILL understand brick stitch. To inspire you, Jayne is going to gift you with her NEW Pinapple Instructions that you can work on when you get home!

We invite you to come to her Hula Girl charm demo on Sunday, July 16, where you can get a bit of assistance if you need it, AND the free pattern, and a start on this new project!
