Our island version of a snow drift, like the snow that sometimes dusts Mauna Kea. We do not get snow in Honolulu, but Hawaii does white in its own way: plumeria petals, pikake buds, and sea foam at Kailua. We picked up this little flurry of vintage acrylic beads in Japan and thought they were unusual enough to lug home!
They are porcelain white, frosted, and crystal-clear pieces in different shapes for lightweight necklaces, stretch bracelets, and playful red-white-and-blue designs.
