I think I can safely say that 2020 was the most challenging year this store has ever faced. Never in a million years would we have imagined our doors closing so abruptly in March — and then closing twice more, once again for the pandemic and once for the threat of an impending hurricane. Three closures in a single year, after more than two decades of being open.
We had to shift quickly. We figured out new ways to get you your beads and supplies — curbside pickups, phone orders, online showcases. It wasn't always smooth. We had our share of technical headaches in ways we never could have anticipated. But we figured it out, one day at a time.
If 2020 taught us anything, it was how to fully appreciate the precious moments with the people we love — and to stop and count our blessings for everything we've been given.
We can't look back on this year without expressing our gratitude to you — our customers — who kept us going when times were rough and the challenges felt insurmountable. It was because of each and every one of you that we could honestly say we'd still be here, still open, still doing what we love. You showed up for us, and we will never forget that.
So as we stepped into 2021, it was with a deep appreciation for this community and a renewed commitment to being here for your beading, jewelry making, and creative needs. Thank you for being part of our story.
