22 gauge wire is a staple item in both half-hard and soft, but definitely you need to have some in half-hard for times when your bead is larger than 6mm, or the hole size too big for 24 gauge, I turn to this for basic wire wrapping.
It's super solid and can take a lot of pulling and stress fo wire wrapped enough bracelets, anklets and necklaces. You can make your loops at the base of your round nose pliers, and even in the larger sizes, it will hold up quite nicely!
