Freshwater Pearl 5mm White Potato - 16" Strand (GEM1651)

Approximately 5mm potato pearls - a perfect size for basic wire wrap or knotting!  We've stashed these away for over 15 years, bringing them out from time to time when we needed nice pearls at an amazing price from a loooong time ago :)

Pearls are the ocean's gems. This biogenic gemstone starts off as a natural irritant (like a grain of sand) enters the mollusk and years of nacre build up around the irritant to create the lustrous finish that we treasure - and what's so beautifully symbolic is that BEAUTY is the result of years of tolerance, patience, and understanding - and that's something that we can wear as a reminder for our own lives.
