The clarity and color-saturation on this Kunzite is AMAZING! I was at a gem show in Japan and these caught my eye from across the room! I've never seen a gem this color before, and I was thrilled :)

Kunzite was founded by a man named George Frederick Kunz. He found this stone in San Diego, which is now an important source for kunzite. The color was so unique that Tiffany’s made it one of their featured stones. Kunzite is fairly new to us at The Bead Gallery, having only introduced them about 10 years ago. The gem itself is very heavy, and there are cat’s eyes in a few, and also lines of shimmer in some!
