Monstera has become a symbol for Hawaii to many people. You see it and you think "Ooh Hawaii!" Monstera is also nicknamed the Swiss Cheese plant because of the holes that appear in their leaves. Fun fact: Did you know that Monstera (Deliciosa - the one that grows in Hawaii) has an edible fruit that is similar to jackfruit and pineapple?? (I never knew that!!!)
